The Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) is a professional membership body which exists to advance education and knowledge of the practice of quality in industry, commerce, and the public and voluntary sectors. The CQI has a professional membership of 10,000 and its courses and qualifications provide the industry standard for quality professionals, training in the region of 1,000 quality professionals every year.
The CQI represents more than 400 quality professionals operating in the nuclear sector, most of whom are members of the CQI’s Nuclear Special Interest Group (NucSIG). NucSIG provides a network for best practice sharing and benchmarking, supports continuous professional development and has established and maintains the Nuclear Body of Quality Knowledge.
A major campaign focus for the CQI in 2012 is recruiting and skilling quality professionals in the nuclear sector in order to reverse the significant shortage which currently exists.
